Description
The Media Planner position is a specialized vacancy which involves the management of internal stakeholder’s media requirements. The media planner’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that the media strategy laid out in the brand plan is implemented. The person will be responsible for the running of the day to day media function which includes checking media schedules, clashing schedules and managing the external vendor relationship. The person will also be involved in formulating and inputting into the the company brand and media strategy and as such someone who is innovative and creative in their thinking would best suit this role. Your brand and media experience will be essential in securing this position. Fundamental to the role the person will need to have a passion for the brand and the values espoused by the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Matric Education and/or relevant qualification
Relevant degree/diploma preferable
2-3 years media experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring the smooth running of media within the organization
Checking up on media schedules
Managing clashing schedules
Maintaining the relationship with the Media agency
Maximizing media efficiency
Providing continuous feedback to the Marketing team
Providing input to the Insights and Strategy Manager which would be added to the media and brand strategy
Handle general administration.
Prepare expense reports; process invoices accurately.
Prepare recons on marketing budget.
Assist with key activities and projects.
